Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350°

  • Step 2

    Spray a 9 x 13" baking pan with baking spray.

  • Step 3

    In small bowl, combine 2 3/4 tsp sugar with cinnamon.

  • Step 4

    Spread each slice of bread with cream cheese and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

  • Step 5

    Cube bread and place in bottom of baking pan.

  • Step 6

    Distribute berries evenly over bread.

  • Step 7

    Sprinkle half the brown sugar over berries and bread.

  • Step 8

    Beat together eggs, milk, and vanilla; pour over bread.

  • Step 9

    Sprinkle with remaining brown sugar.

  • Step 10

    Bake 50-60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

  • Step 11

    Top with a dollop of whipped cream or sour cream if desired and about a teaspoon of diced strawberries or blueberries.
